Take a cold plunge for a hot dinner

If you’ve got a cold water challenge coming up this winter, here’s a chance to get a little bit of cold water exposure and raise funds for a good cause at the same time.

Crisis, the national charity for homeless people, is calling on Londoners to join the fun and festive Crisis Midwinter Swim.

The first event takes place on Saturday 10 December at Brockwell Lido. Your entry fee of £22.32 will not only secure someone in need with a hot dinner, but will also give them an introduction to Crisis’ year-round health and wellbeing, education, employment and housing services, for training and support in the year ahead.

If you can’t make 10 December, there is a second opportunity to support Crisis on Saturday 28 January at Tooting Bec Lido at the Cold Water Championships.

I created Outdoor Swimmer in 2011 (initially as H2Open Magazine) as an outlet for my passion for swimming outdoors. I've been a swimmer and outdoor swimmer for as long as I remember. Swimming has made a huge difference to my life and I want to share its joys and benefits with as many people as possible.
