Hemp seeds contain more than 25 per cent protein and are the richest in protein of all nuts. Here are three protein-packed recipes from nutritionist Kathy Findlay
HEMP SEED OIL PESTO
A delicious pesto that can be tossed through warm pasta or spread on bread/rice cakes/oatcakes and topped with tomatoes.
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese or any strong cheese 1 cup basil leaves
- 2 tbsp Canah Basil Hemp Oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ tsp salt
Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and blend until almost smooth. Taste and adjust the seasonings if desired.
