Try this full-body stretching workout to keep you swim fit

Focussing on swimming, fitness and training while the world locks down around you might not seem like an immediate priority, and we get that. First and foremost, we want nothing more than you to focus on yourself and your family and for all those around you and in the wider community to be safe, well and healthy.

For those of you who want to, undertaking a little exercise each week can help to reduce stress and anxiety, and even build your immune system.

Here’s a simple stretching workout that will help to keep your body strong and flexible for swimming.

Swim specific stretching workout

With all stretches, ensure that you start slowly and gradually build range of movement when moving joints and limbs. Always start with an easy, comfortable posture when performing exercises, (no locked knees or hips).

When following this session please read through the notes (right) and watch the video instruction resource (below).

Perform each exercise for 30-40 second (twice).
