GlideSoul Tie-Dye Wetsuit

Taking the attitude that there’s absolutely no reason that all wetsuits have to be black, GlideSoul have come along and brought some hip and colourful surf and watersports style to the humble wetsuit. While designed primarily with trendy wakeboarders and SUP’ers in mind, the suits are nonetheless also quoted as being good for swimming too. The neoprene is a mix of 3mm and 2mm so a bit thinner than the norm for OW and tri suits, but super stretchy and very very comfortable. The suit was warm enough for fairly early season swimming, the fit was flexible and easy round the shoulders and I found that the lighter neoprene made my over-buoyant legs feel happier too. It was easy and comfortable to swim in. The bold colour splashes were great, but it would have been even better if the hi-viz yellow had been placed, instead, on the backs of calves or lower arms for additional safety. My only complaint was the slightly bulky and less than sleek zip keeper at the top. All in all it was a great, and seriously striking, wetsuit for fashion conscious (and confident) recreational rather than competitive swimmers. The suit also comes in an amazing black and leopard print option.
