The Fireworks 500 is a 500m open water swim, at Capernwray Dive Centre near Lancaster. This event is often a sell-out so don’t miss your chance!
Starting on “Bobs” rocket, swimmers can race or leisurely complete one lap (500m) of the quarry. It’s long enough for you to experience the beauty of night swimming in safe secure surroundings but short enough that you get to the end before the chill sets in!
This year an award will be made to the fastest swimmer and a trophy in Bob Hudson’s memory shall be presented.
Following the swim, you can warm up with a hot chocolate and then enjoy the fireworks display. If you’re looking for something different and memorable, then you’ve come to the right place…
