Keswick Mountain Festival
This year will see the return of the full multi-sport, Keswick Mountain Festival on 17-19 May.
Like previous years the event promises you a wonderfully immersive experience, with an emphasis on outdoor sports, activities, live music, inspirational speakers, and an incredible array of outdoor brands, plus top-notch food and drink stalls. But KMF24 will be different – with a brand-new look.
A bigger schedule of sporting events and outdoor activities will include a new adventure race, revised mountain run, two new hikes, a local schools’ duathlon, trail runs once again from 5k to 50k, open water swims, two cycle sportive routes (one of which is new), and three hiking events (two of which are new).
Aquasphere 750m Swim (including Junior Swim, 12-17) – A classic in the Keswick Mountain Festival sporting line-up, the Derwent Bay open water swim is the ideal option for those just starting out in the world of wild swimming.
Aquasphere Derwent Isle 1.5km Swim – The 1,500 metre option is great for the more experienced open water swimmer and is one lap of Derwent Isle. Ages 16+ only.
Aquasphere Derwentwater Point to Point Swim 3.6km Swim – take in the views of surrounding hills, Catbells and Skiddaw as you swim past the several islands on the lake, including St Herbert’s Island, Rampsholme Island and Derwent Island, on your journey to the finish at Crow Park.
