Join us on Saturday, June 20, 2026, for the 7th edition of Open Swim Agde, an iconic open water swimming event offering a truly unique course, where river meets sea. Set in the south of France, this exceptional race takes swimmers from the Hérault River all the way to the Mediterranean Sea, creating an unforgettable and challenging open water experience.

Open to swimmers of all levels, this event welcomes beginners, regular open water participants, and experienced athletes alike. Each swimmer can choose one or several distances depending on their confidence, fitness level, and desire to push their limits in a spectacular natural environment.

Participants can take part in the races with or without fins, allowing everyone to swim according to their preferred style. The program includes a 500 m race, ideal for first-time open water swimmers, as well as a 1.3 km course for newcomers looking to progress. Intermediate swimmers can challenge themselves on the 2.9 km distance, while experienced athletes can take on the legendary 5.5 km Hérault River Descent, a unique point-to-point swim connecting the river to the Mediterranean Sea.
