Widely recognised as one of the the toughest open water swimming events on the UK calendar, the Windermere One Way is proper bucket list stuff.
The Windermere One Way Swim starts at beautiful and sheltered Fell Foot Park at the southern end of Windermere. From here, the epic 11-mile swim takes you to the finish at the northern tip of the lake at Borrans Park. Starting in single file you will be guided from Fell Foot on your journey with 1:1 paddler support.
The unique 1:1 swimmer to paddler ratio gives the swimmer the very best chance of completing the length of this iconic swim. 2025 saw a 100% finish in this 11-mile swim.
