Bolton Tri Club runs open water swimming sessions at Elton Sailing Club on Tuesdays,  on a marked out swim course of around 500m. There is also a shorter half distance course.

Note: Blue-green algae is an ongoing risk at Elton Reservoir so Bolton Tri Club are only scheduling 4 swims at a time. The water is inspected  several times a week to check that swimming areas are safe.
