First Oceanman series race entries open

Entries are now open for the first race in the Oceanman championship series which takes place in Spain and Italy throughout 2015. The series kicks off in Altea, Spain, on Sunday 26 April with a 10km (Oceanman distance) swim running along the waters of the North Bay, the island of Olla and Roda beach. In addition, participants have the option to tackle the medium distance race (Half-Oceanman, 5km) or swim at their leisure in the popular non-competitive 1.5km event, which is aimed at novice open water swimmers.

The anticipated water temperature at the time of swim is between 16 – 17 degrees Celsius, making the use of wetsuits recommended but not obligatory under the series’ rules.

The entry fee for the 10km swim is Eur65, reduced to Eur59 for the first 50 registrations before 14 December.

The event will be followed by swims in Palamós, Cala Montgó and Lago d’Orta (Italy) and a final in Benidorm in October.
