Yannick Agnel signs with arena

Aquatic sports brand Arena announced today it has signed a new sponsorship agreement with the current Olympic and World 200m freestyle champion, Yannick Agnel of France. The deal is to extend through to the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Since 2013 Agnel has been training in Baltimore, USA, with new coach Bob Bowman (who previously worked with Michael Phelps).
“I’m thrilled to be joining Team Arena. I have a very good feeling about swimming in arena’s racing suits. I also know that I can count on them on the pool deck; it’s both comforting and encouraging! I hope we’ll accomplish great things together,” says Agnel.
Agnel joins a number of other top swimmers in the arena Elite Team, which currently includes 23 Olympic and/or World Champions, with countryman Jérémy Stravius among them.

Nicolas Préault, General Manager Arena France. “Agnel is an unbelievable swimmer. Here at arena, we share his pleasure in performing in the water, his quest for excellence and the ultimate performance, his competitive spirit and determination to win.”
