Zone3 launches its 2016 range

Wetsuit and triathlon brand Zone 3 has just announced the launch of its new range for the season and says the 2016 version of its Vanquish wetsuit is its fastest and most comfortable yet: “designed to feel like you’re not even wearing a wetsuit,” according to company founder James Lock.

While much of the range is targeted towards triathletes, the 2016 range also includes colourful, chlorine resistant training swimwear.

Zone 3 was created in 2008 by elite triathlete and Loughborough University student, James Lock, who felt he could improve on the wetsuits available at the time. This led him to focus on designing products to support and enhance performance – one of the key selling points of the company’s first wetsuits was the speed at which they could be removed when transitioning from the water to the bike in triathlon.

Talking about 2016, Lock says: “I have never been more excited about going into a new season than I am at the moment. The new collection is looking and performing better than ever and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved. Looking back at the first Zone3 products we launched in 2008 and comparing them to where we are today is an unbelievable feeling.

“The new Vanquish has an extended upper body panel which stretches from the back, over the shoulders, down the arms and chest. This, combined with the 1mm collar and Silk-Fit lining, results in a swimming experience like no other. The buoyancy levels are just as extreme.”

As well as updates to the existing range, Zone 3 is planning a number of new product launches over the next few weeks including a polar fleece onesie and new training aids.
