Fancy swimming for free? Every month, our members enter a ballot to win a free swim at one of our partner venues or events. Scroll down to find out where you could be swimming.

How do I join?

All you need to do is become an Outdoor Swimmer member to be in with a chance of winning a free swim. Once you’ve joined, you’ll automatically be entered into the next month’s ballot. If you win, we’ll be in touch, and you will be able to choose your free swim from that month’s selection.

Dip Advisor

Dip Advisor is an outdoor swim guiding company offering swim experiences in wild, beautiful, open-water locations, with no pressure to swim any distance or in any style. Swim for the love of it, swim slow and enjoy a different kind of adventure. Don’t know where to dip your toe, leap in or float? Go Swim

Go Swim offers three exhilarating, challenging, enjoyable, safe and professionally organised events, for swimmers of all ages and abilities in three beautiful Scottish lochs:

Go Swim Loch Tay: August 15th

Jubilee Pool

The UK’s most celebrated saltwater pool, Jubilee Pool in Penzance, Cornwall allows you to enjoy cold water swimming in a sheltered, lifeguarded pool with freshwater showers and facilities. The geothermal pool temperature usually sits a couple of degrees warmer than the surrounding seawater. The children’s pool is also saltwater, has a depth of 0.6m and is not heated (except by the sun)!

Lake 32

Lake 32 is a beautiful freshwater lake in the Cotswolds Water Park. It’s open year-round, offering a range of swims, events, and water-based activities.

Enjoy swimming your choice of its 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, & 750m courses (temperature permitting). There is parking, a sauna and cafe on site.

Lake 86

Located at Lake 86 in the heart of the Cotswolds, Cotswolds Water Park Hire offers inclusive open water swimming courses as part of its bigger watersports offering.

​The friendly team’s mission is to make it easy and accessible for the public to experience, enjoy and develop a passion for water sports in a safe and natural environment.

Level Water

This wonderful charity raises money through its swimming events to teach children with disabilities life-changing swimming skills.

Its Wild Swim Relays are the Glastonbury of swimming. Swimming teams swim relay-style for an hour each, for 12 or 24 hours in this unique challenge with a fun festival vibe, with fire pits, hot chocolate, lights and dancing to keep warm through the night.

Liverpool Princes Dock

Swim year-round in Liverpool’s iconic Princes Dock with Swim Liverpool.

Enjoy clear, clean, brackish water in this brilliant urban location. There’s also a sauna on-site and cafes nearby for a post-swim warm-up.

Love Open Water – NOWCA

Love Open Water operates four superb swim locations operated by swim venue safety experts, NOWCA in:

  • Canary Wharf (not included in the free swims ballot)
  • London Royal Docks
  • Leeds Dock
  • Nottingham

Sea Lanes Brighton

Situated on the beautiful beachfront in Brighton, East Sussex, Sea Lanes has a 50m, 6 lanes, heated (heated to 19 degrees all-year-round) outdoor swimming pool at its heart, operated by South Downs Leisure.

Sea Lanes’ vision is to act as a stepping stone to the sea, reviving competitive and recreational swimming, and creating a happier and healthier community.

Shepperton Open Water Swim

Shepperton Open Water Swim is a dedicated open water swim lake with specific, bookable swim session times. This beautiful, family-run lake is welcoming, and swimmer safety is a priority. It welcomes all levels of adult swimmers who want to enjoy swimming in a natural environment.

St Andrews Lakes

The team has transformed this former quarry into a superb, beautiful blue lake reserve with an amazing range of watersports and land-based activities for all ages.

Nestled in the Kent countryside, the 70-acre, spring-fed freshwater lake has crystal-clear waters, sandy lakeside beaches, surrounding woodland, and thriving fauna – a real retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Watersedge

Sisters Emily & Sophy launched open water swimming at Watersedge in Worcestershire in the summer of 2022, with the aspiration of creating a unique sense of community, and also a place for people to connect back to themselves whilst being surrounded by nature. They have always had a strong desire to promote happiness and positivity, as well as a strong enthusiasm for wellbeing.
