La'alsauna is the first wood fired, nordic inspired Sauna in the Lake District made from a converted 1950's horsebox. Sited during the Winter and Spring on the shoreline of Lake Windermere at the National Trust site Fell Foot. With a beautiful HUUM stove imported from Estonia and hand crafted interior built by the owner Debbie Noble.
Debbie grew up in Windermere and set about creating YAN having spotted something similar on the South Coast post lockdown. Having swum outdoors her whole life - she tried to find an outdoor Sauna too - to combine both hot and cold in the Lakes and drew a blank - so that's where the idea started.
The Sauna, lovingly named YAN. Has L shaped seating on two levels providing a stunning view up the Lake towards the fells beyond.
With locally sourced sheep wool insulation and kiln dried logs providing insulation and heat. You can sit back and enjoy this truly unique experience for the Lakes.
It is the perfect space to reconnect with nature and have an authentic sauna.
