ARENA extends sponsorship of National Arena Swimming League

Solo Sports Brands, the UK distributor of swimmer brand Arena, has just announced it is extending Arena’s sponsorship of the National Arena Swimming League (NASL) until 2020. The sponsorship includes the 50th anniversary of the NASL cup final in April 2019.

The National League is one of the most important pool-based swimming championships in the UK, with more than 16,000 swimmers from 400 teams participating in the three rounds (in October, November and December each year) with finals in April. The preliminary rounds are all held over short-course distances (i.e. 25m pools) while the finals are in a long course (50m) pool and swimmers’ times can be used for qualification for national events.
“I am really pleased to announce our continued support of this extremely important club-level competition,” says Luca Belogi, Arena’s General Manager of International Business Development. “As the breeding ground for Britain’s future champions, the NASL represents the bedrock of swimming in the UK, and to be able to support the sport at the local level gives us both great satisfaction and exposure. Since the inception of our partnership with the League in 2009, it has proved an important medium for the visibility of our brand in the UK market, and extending our sponsorship through what will ultimately be a decade-plus signals Arena’s belief in the initiative, as well as our commitment to swimming in one of the world’s leading swimming countries, with its highly organised networks and its world-class programmes. We look forward to five more years of success and growth for the NASL, and a continuing strengthening of our bonds with the initiative.”
Solo Sports Brands Ltd spokesperson Debbie Poulson says the continuance of the partnership is a successful conclusion for all parties and Solo looks forward to continuing support while enjoying and developing the very positive relationship that has been established.
