Get coached by an Olympian

SwimQuest Swimming Holidays have announced a new partnership with Olympic open water medallist Cassandra Patten. SwimQuest have teamed up with Cassie to run an open water coaching week this summer in Mathraki, an island just off Corfu, from 25-31 July 2015.

Up to 12 guests will be able to book onto the trip, which will incorporate coastal, bay and inter-island swims alongside open water technique coaching from Cassie and the SwimQuest guides.
“Distance swimming requires amazing technique, and I have been lucky enough to have been coached by the best in the business,” says Patten. “I am looking forward to passing on my knowledge to SwimQuest guests – I’m confident they will be able to learn a lot in a week!”
In addition to winning bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Cassie Patten is a double World Champion silver medallist and European Champion. She made history as the first swimmer in the world to both final in the pool and medal in the open water events at an Olympics, and is one of only nine British swimmers to have won Olympic medals in the last 20 years.
“Mathraki is an ideal location for this trip in the height of summer,” says SwimQuest founder, John Coningham-Rolls. “The island is very small with little boat traffic. The water is clear and bays are shallow which will allow for technique and stroke analysis work alongside some fantastic open water swims with Cassie.”
