Lavington School pupils set their sights on the English Channel

In July 2019 pupils from Lavington School in Wiltshire aim to swim the English Channel. Three relay teams of students aged 13-15, parents and staff from the school will attempt to cross the English Channel according to Channel Rules – without wetsuits. The swimmers are raising money for Cure Leukaemia to support one of the school students currently fighting the illness.

“We are trying to acclimatise through cold baths and putting in the distance in the pool,” said Kirstie Barter, who will be swimming on a team with her son Henry.
