New Night Swim at Hever Castle

The organisers of the Hever Castle Triathlon have announced the launch of a new night swim as part of their 10-year anniversary celebrations.

The Hever Castle Triathlon takes place this year over the weekend of 22 and 23 September. It already features a series of open water swim-only events in partnership with Outdoor Swimmer.

The Night Swim is an exciting and novel addition to the programme. Starting at 8pm, swimmers can choose between three distances: 400m, 750m and 1500m. There will be no timing for this event as the idea is to savour the atmosphere, which will be enhanced by special effects lighting and classical music.

All swimmers will receive a swim hat, glow-sticks and medal. Warm refreshments will be available along with a licensed bar for post-race warm down. The swimmers’ event village, set on the Italian lawn by the loggia, will be set up with a heated changing room and bag drop area.

Participants can also book a campsite plot and make a weekend of it with camping within easy walking distance of the swim start and set in the stunning castle grounds.
