Sally Minty-Gravett awarded MBE

Renowned marathon swimmer Sally Minty-Gravett has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for her services to swimming. The swimming coach and open water mentor was honoured for her services to the sport following her 27 years as president of the Jersey Long Distance Swimming Club.

As well as being a superstar of Channel swimming (with five solo crossings under her belt), in her role as a swimming coach Sally has also taught thousands of children to swim.

Jonathan is a year-round skins swimmer with a particular love of very cold water. He has competed in ice swimming competitions around the world. He is a qualified open water coach with a particular love of introducing new swimmers to the open water.
