Announcing The Really Cold Swim Championships

Are you up for some really cold swimming this winter? Check out this new cold water swimming event, a joint venture between Swim Your Swim and 100% Swimming.

The Really Cold Swim Championships, a brand new cold-water swimming event delivered by two of the UK’s most experienced event management teams, invites cold water swimmers of all abilities and speeds to come together for a day of really cold water swimming in a bespoke short course championship lake pool. 

The event will take place on Sunday 11 February 2024 at Rother Valley Country Park, Sheffield, and is a joint venture between Swim Your Swim and 100% Swimming. It welcomes cold water swimmers of all abilities with distances ranging between 50m to 450m, plus there’s a relay you can enter with friends. But organisers stress you must have cold water experience because make no mistake it will be “really cold!”

They also promise great competition, great fun, camaraderie and cake – all the finest ingredients for a really cold swim championships. The event will have a full on safety compliment on site including lifeguards, safety staff, doctor and medic team as well as first aiders. 

Organises have chosen to support The Samaritans as their nominated charity and 100% of merchandise profit will be donated to the charity.

200m Freestyle
100m Freestyle
50m Freestyle

BUTTERFLY
50m Butterfly

BREASTSTROKE
50m Breaststroke

RELAY
4 x 50m FREESTYLE TEAM RELAY

The top three swimmers (male and Female) will be presented with a trophy decided from Heat declared winners – no finals. Presentations to take place at the end of the event.
