Charity places up for grabs at Swim Serpentine

General entries have sold out in record time for this popular event but don’t worry – you can still secure a charity spot if you’d like to take part in Swim Serpentine, which takes place 20 September 2025

Swim Serpentine has announced that general entry places for the 2025 event have sold out, so charity places are now the only way for people to take part in the popular open water swimming festival in Hyde Park, London.

All places in the One Mile, Half Mile, Super Six and Two Mile swims sold out in one day – a new record for the event.

For those who missed out, there’s still a chance to get involved in this year’s event. Charity places for all four distances (Half Mile, One Mile, Two Miles and Super Six) are available now, offering the opportunity to be a part of the day and use the challenge to raise money for an important cause.

Ben Craddock, Event Lead for Swim Serpentine, said: “We’re always delighted by the appetite for Swim Serpentine; it’s a brilliant event and amazing day. Now that general entries have sold out, our charity partners have a really great opportunity to promote their places and encourage even more people to give the event a go, all while raising vital funds for important causes.”

Swim Serpentine returns to Hyde Park on Saturday 20 September and offers swimmers the chance to take on one of four distances in the historic Serpentine Lake, ranging from half-mile and one-mile waves to the Super Six six-mile challenge, with many taking on the two-mile distance as part of the London Classics.

The Serpentine is home to a lido popular with wild swimmers, and Swim Serpentine gives participants an exciting opportunity to explore the lake beyond the lido as they take on a variety of distances in the picturesque surroundings of Hyde Park.
