Neda el Món launches open water league

Spanish swim event organiser Neda el Món yesterday announced the creation of a new ‘Open Water League’ made up of five swims on its programme. League winners will be determined by a points classification system and the top three competitors of each gender will win free registration to the 2016 league as well as entry into the Formigues Islands Medes Islands swim.

The first swim in the series is the spectacular Sa Dragonera swim, a 9.5 circumnavigation of the Balearic island of the same name that is taking place on 31 May and is now in its fifth year. Swimmers are welcome to bring along friends and relatives who will be able to follow the swim from sailboats, which will also circumnavigate the island. Entry is limited to 300, so sign up soon.
The remaining races in the series are:
•             5th Neda el Món Sailfish Prades Siurana
•             5th Neda el Món Zoggs SwimBarcelona
•             1st Neda el Món Leucate La Franqui
