Party time: Outdoor Swimmer announces first pool party!
We’re celebrating our 15th birthday – and we’re bringing the party to Hilsea Lido. Now, you can join us!
Join our celebrations at Portsmouth’s newly renovated, iconic 67‑metre outdoor pool. With activities for the whole family, enjoy expert coaching, relaxed talks, community swimming, fancy dress, birthday party fun – and, of course, cake. Set against Hilsea Lido’s 90th anniversary and Portsmouth’s 100-year celebrations of cityhood, it will be a joyful chance to dive into everything that makes swimming outdoors – and seaside life – special.
Swimming, coaching and more
The day will feature small‑group coaching sessions for a wide range of ages and abilities led by local coaches and Outdoor Swimmer team members Simon Griffiths, Ella Foote and Rowan Clarke. Zoggs will be there with gear advice and swimwear to try and buy, there’ll be an open swim session to enjoy sensational swimming in the pool, stalls, entertainment, crafts and light‑hearted races – a true swimming festival.
Whether you want to learn new swimming skills, share your love of the water with family, friends and like-minded swimmers, or enjoy a fun day out at an iconic open-air pool, the Hilsea Lido Pool Party is about connection, confidence and celebrating the outdoor swimming community.

Where and when
The Pool Party is on June 6th from 10 am until 4 pm
It’s a ticketed event, and places are limited. Tickets will let you into the party all day and include a pool swim and 30% off full-price Zoggs goggles (your discount code will be in your confirmation email). Coached sessions are extra.
