Issue 5 – on its way

The digital edition of Issue 5 is available HERE now. The print version has gone in the post to subscribers and will start arriving from next week. Our theme for this issue is “Record Breakers”. We have an interview with Penny Palfrey on her record breaking Cayman Island swim and we asked top coaches Mark Rose and Bill Furniss, as well as Olympian Mark Foster, what makes a champion swimmer. We review the yet-to-be achieved Ocean’s Seven challenge and take an in-depth look at the toughest of those: the North Channel. We hope you enjoy the issue. As ever, let us know your thoughts.

I created Outdoor Swimmer in 2011 (initially as H2Open Magazine) as an outlet for my passion for swimming outdoors. I've been a swimmer and outdoor swimmer for as long as I remember. Swimming has made a huge difference to my life and I want to share its joys and benefits with as many people as possible. I am also the author of Swim Wild & Free: A Practical Guide to Swimming Outdoors 365 a Year and I provide one-to-one support to swimmers through Swim Mentoring.
