First wave of tickets now on sale for Kendal Mountain Festival
Editor Ella will be back to host the Outdoor Swimming Session at this highly-anticipated autumn event in the Lake District
Kendal Mountain Festival, the highly-anticipated celebration of adventure, culture, nature and exploration, is taking place this year from the 21 to 24 November, and the first wave of tickets is OUT NOW!
This year’s guests for the Outdoor Swimming Session is still being finalised but with last year’s lineup including Olympian Hector Pardoe, long-distance swimmer Yvette Tetteh and ice swimmer Jonty Warneken, you can be sure that our new line-up will be just as stellar!
This year’s Festival programme is the largest ever, with a second ticket wave going live later this month, and a third wave in September. Tickets for feature films and film collections will go live in October after selection and judging has been finalised for the International Film Competition. Those unable to attend the Festival in person can also catch Festival films through the Kendal Mountain Player, the Festival’s own streaming platform.
The Kendal Mountain Team is proud to announce that the theme for 2024 is ‘Balance’. Co-director Steve Scott says, “At the Festival, our annual theme subtly supports the curation of our programme and helps prompt new perspectives when discussing the outdoors. It enriches conversations that inspire individuals to explore the natural world. We invite attendees to reflect on this theme and consider how ‘balance’ can navigate the fine line between success and failure, courage and contemplation, and risk versus reward.”
