Swimmers wanted for period drama

A feature film is on the lookout for swimmers to take part in a period drama, shooting in Nottinghamshire in January 2024.
It is a paid opportunity, and you’ll need to be over 21 to apply. The role is flexible in regards to appearance – the only requirement is natural hair colour, as the film is set in 1950s, so modern dyed colours aren’t suitable. The role is open to any ethnicity and gender.
Crowd 2nd AD Amy Leyshon explains more about the production, “As always with filming I can’t say much but we are a feature film set in the 1950s. Our story follows a party that gets a bit out of hand. This scene sees some of our party leaving the house in search of something more fun to do, they spot the lake and decide to go for a swim. They don’t care it’s winter, it seems like jolly good fun!”
Experienced cold-water swimmers only
The production company require swimmers who are used to cold-water temperatures. Filming dates are scheduled for Wednesday 31 Jan and Thursday 1 Feb 2024. These are night shoots. The production may require a costume fitting and medical checks closer to the time but they will contact anyone successful to arrange these.
You’ll need to provide your name, location, contact email and phone number and provide a bit of detail about how long you’ve been swimming, and your experience of cold water or night swimming. You’ll also need to a selfie headshot.
Update: Due to an overwhelming response applications are now closed.
