Breca Swimrun announce Jersey as host for UK Swimrun Championship

Swimrun event organiser Breca are set to host the UK’s swimrun National Championship on 4 September, having named the Channel island of Jersey as host.

Breca are inviting the top five finishers in each category (team and solo) from their 2021 UK mainland races, as well as any athlete who has placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any other UK swimrun race this year.

National Championships athletes will join the strong existing field of competitors who have already entered the 2021 edition of the Jersey race.

Fred Newton, Managing Director of Breca Swimrun, commented: “Make no mistake, Jersey is our hardest course where participants will do battle with one of the highest tidal ranges in the world and the relentless up and down of coastal trails.

“The race is set to be a corker. Jersey has a strong and competitive field of local athletes, and we also hope to see some of our French swimrun friends joining us. Bonne chance!”
