Swim for Climategames this November
Help us remove plastic from the world’s oceans by joining one of our November events on the Climategames app
We’re three months into our Outdoor Swimmer X Climategames challenge and have removed 1.5kg of plastic from our oceans so far.
We’d like to say a big thank you to our readers and subscribers who took part in Climategames in October. Thanks to your swims we’re well on the way to hitting our target of removing 350kg of plastic and planting 1,000 trees.
As we dive deeper into autumn and water temperature continues to drop, November’s Climategames challenge is all about celebrating getting into the water, no matter the distance you swim. We’ve relaxed this November’s challenge to 5km for subscribers. If you’re not a subscriber, you can opt to swim as much or as little as you want.
How it works
Outdoor Swimmer magazine subscribers can join our subscriber-only events on the Climategames app and log each of their swims. On completion of the challenge, the participant will receive confirmation that their swim efforts have contributed to either the removal of plastic or planting of trees (depending on which event they sign up to). It’s a simple way for us to work together to help reduce our impact on the environment.

‘Up to you’ Swim Challenge – Swim as little or as much as you want! As a reward you’ll get 15% off Outdoor Swimmer single issues + 1g of plastic per completion. Click on this link on a mobile device to download the Climategames app. You can join the challenge once you have the app on your phone.
Subscriber only events
5k Swim Challenge – Each successful swimmer will remove 40g of plastic from the world’s waterways. This event is open to our subscribers and patrons only – private links will be emailed to you.

Download the Climategames App and register for our November events. Our November challenges run between 1-30 November 2022, but you can download the app and join the event now to get in ahead of time.
