What’s an Outdoor Swimmer membership?

What are the new membership levels?
The new membership levels are Gold, Silver, Extra and Patron/Super Patron.
- Gold includes receiving 10 print magazines a month through your door
- With Silver, you get the digitally-optimised magazine on your device
- Extra is the lighter membership, where you read premium content online and in a flipbook version of the magazine
- Patrons and Super Patrons get all the benefits of Gold membership, with some very special added benefits


Why is my subscription changing to a membership?
Outdoor swimming is all about community, and we wanted to change our subscription model to reflect that. You will find that your new membership is more inclusive, flexible, personalised, easier to understand, and offers more value for money than your old subscription.
What’s the difference between my old subscription and new membership?
Your new membership keeps all the benefits of your old subscription, and adds some new benefits such as our free swims ballot, priority invitations to pool parties and access to the closed community app.
What’s my new membership tier?
The new membership tiers are broadly the same as the old subscription tiers: Gold (formerly Print + Digital), Silver (formerly Digital), Extra and Patron/Super Patron.
Can I change my membership tier?
The easiest way to change your membership tier is to cancel your current membership and rejoin on your desired tier. If you need help, please email us.
Will the cost of my membership be different from my old subscription?
No. Despite rises in costs associated with printing magazines, there are no cost increases with the new membership.
Will I get any new membership benefits?
Yes. Gold (formerly Print) and Silver (formerly Digital) subscribers will get new benefits with their memberships. The new benefits are:
• Free entry into our monthly free swims ballot
• Access to our exclusive members-only app
• Priority access to our new pool parties
How do I access my membership benefits?
The easiest way to access your membership benefits is through the members-only community on the app, Heylo. To join, follow these instructions. You’ll need your name, registered email address, and membership/subscriber number.
It’s also worth making sure that you’ve opted in to receive emails. We won’t bombard you with information; we just send out newsletters about upcoming issues and events.
What’s the Outdoor Swimmer digital library, and how do I access it?
The digital library has a digitally optimised copy of every issue of Outdoor Swimmer magazine that Gold and Silver members can read on whichever device(s) they like. Great if you’re off on holiday!
