Issue 2 off to the printers

We’ve been working flat-out all week to send issue 2 to the printers today (1 April 11), and we’re really excited by how it looks. We’ve got a great set of articles in there too from how to use tides and currents to your advantage to training to optimise your performance for both sprint and long-distance races, plus lots more open water swimming tips and places to swim and race.
We’ve also been developing plans to put the magazine into shops in the UK. However, this won’t happen in time for the April issue so if you want to make sure you receive a copy you’ll need to subscribe before close of business on Monday 4 April. If you don’t make that deadline, you’ll still be able to buy the magazine as a back issue.

I created Outdoor Swimmer in 2011 (initially as H2Open Magazine) as an outlet for my passion for swimming outdoors. I've been a swimmer and outdoor swimmer for as long as I remember. Swimming has made a huge difference to my life and I want to share its joys and benefits with as many people as possible. I am also the author of Swim Wild & Free: A Practical Guide to Swimming Outdoors 365 a Year and I provide one-to-one support to swimmers through Swim Mentoring.
