Huub aim for £1 million in crowdfunding campaign

On Monday 26 October, wetsuit and triathlon brand Huub launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise a minimum of £250,000 to accelerate expansion and international growth. The target was raised in just two hours and they are now hoping to raise over £1 million.

“I’ve no doubt we’ll get there but reaching the £1 million mark will be really special,” said Huub founder, Dean Jackson. “Thinking back to where it all began from my kitchen table nine years ago, I feel incredibly proud and thankful for the support of our incredible Huub community.

“The capital is without question going to be instrumental in helping us expand exponentially, both in the UK and internationally, and for outdoor swimmers that will translate into more options, furthering our commitment to providing the very best products across a growing product range.”

Olympic medallists and Huub athletes Alistair and Jonny Brownlee were the first to invest in the company. The money will allow Huub to expand its product range, grow its presence in international markets and cater for the increasing number of women taking up open water swimming and endurance sports. The Derby-based brand experienced significant audience demographic shift in 2020, with women’s wetsuit sales up 68%.
